We have 3 furry family members, all were strays or from the pound. Beagle is 18 years old now, and deaf , but happy. Husky is 12, but acts like a 2 year old. Black lab is 9, and is my daughters dog. He watches over her like a hawk, and is pretty well glued to her all the time.

Here's buddy, a 9-year-old Border Collie a bit rambuncious so its hard to get a good pic of him. Not sure if he's qualified pure-bred with some of the stuff he does.

First couple of pictures are my house dog/hunting dog Buster. Buster is a UKC squirrel champion and as you can see fits in quite well in the house. Sleep on my bed, rides in the front of the truck and goes where I go. The other dog is my pride and joy. Brownie is dual squirrel champion in NKC and UKC. She's taken a first in class at the Michigan State hunt and Second overall the next year. She is probably my dog of a life time.

Lots of other critters here like cows, pigs, rabbits, cats, etc. But these are the two that I call family.

Got to thinking after I posted that maybe hunting results are not allowed on this site. If there's a problem with the tailgate shots then I understand if they get deleted.

I see no problem.

This is what "Rufus" does most of the time.

I think 'Rufus" has it all figured out.

These are our 2 German Shepherds. They are brother and sister from the same litter. Their names are Fred and Ginger and are 15 months old. Fred is the black and tan and Ginger is the mostly black one. They are absolutely awesome pups. It gets pretty crazy sometimes in the battle of what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine. It is our first time with puppies, all the other dogs we have had were rescues.

I see the "Dog People" are winning so far.... Here's my furry family minus one camera shy (and everything else shy) little tabby Suzz.

L. to R. "Littlebee", "Trixie" (excessive talker), "Lorilei" and "Dora". The twin girls and the tabby boy were a rescued litter (We could not break up the litter and just take 2.) and they are 2½ years old. Trixie and the unseen Suzz are going on 14. Trixie had very nice manners until the "kittens arrived" and they made her the fourth kitten.

Similar to how hounds hunt coons. A good squirrel dog uses its eyes, ears and nose to find and tree squirrels. Here's a couple of the above dogs treeing squirrels during some previous hunting seasons.
