Time for our local County Fair Parade today at 5:30 pm:

97* predicted for this evening, I've got a 12V fan & plenty of cold water & sweat towels ready. Set it out last year because of the 100+ temps. ~~ Lowell

Great looking line up there. These excessive temps seem to be cumulative on us humans. I was talking with my B.I.L and he said guys are dropping at work from heat exhaustion, I told him I'm just wimping out... start around 6 a.m. work a couple, rest a couple, work a couple, do lunch, work about 1 hr, back off till about 3:30 or 4 then work a couple, then call it a day. Today seemed even worse, just got out of the shower I'm done unless some emergency comes up. Keep safe and enjoy your parade !!

Nice train there Lowell. Is that a wheel barrow cart I see on top of one of the regular carts?

That is a JD model #30 cart, fairly scarce:

Parade went well for 103*. Ran through pretty quick, 90 entries total, lots of political goings on this year!

Looking good Lowell. Just keep hydrated and don't over do it. It's a little cooler here this year compared to last year as we've only had about 18 or 20 days in the 100's this year.

Glad you got thru it OK, I remember seeing high 90's in an earlier post, then saw 103... wondered why, until you said about the Politics... Then it dawned on me, it was all the hot air
