Is it just me or does his price seem a little high considering it does not run?

That's one of those "It Depends" things. Gravelys tend to be highly sought after. The engine may be repairable, and should be rebuildable. Biggest problem here is it looks like no attachments come with it.

PS: Could be a situation where the seller is willing to come down quite a bit, but feels there is no harm asking for more. I just lost out on a hydro MF8 advertised at $500. The seller ended up taking $300...quite a discount.

Yeah, I wouldn't give anything for it myself... it's ugly and doesn't run. BUT I figure it is probably worth that to someone!

I agree with Howard. He says he tilled his garden with it before it quit, if the tiller goes with it that would be a very fair price.
I don't think there is anything on it that can't be repaired. I've been wanting one with a sickle bar mower to cut mulch for the garden.
Just don't see many for sale in Iowa.

As I read the CL listing, I too saw where he tilled the garden, so there must be more pieces than what is in the ad....Hope so with the price he is asking....JMHO!

He'd likely get someone interested if he took the time to get it running.

I bought a tractor one time [C Allis Chalmers w/ 5 foot National finish belly mower] that the guy said he was out back mowing and it just quit. I saw the tank was empty but never dreamed it would be that easy. Gave him his $375 asking price, put some gas in the tank and drove it on my trailer. :wallbanging:
