We have a rash of trailer thiefs in Tulsa. I think it was last year a commercial mowing service had his trailer and all his quip meant stolen from a job were he was working. His truck, trailer, mowers, weed eaters, everything. He didn't have any insurance and going to sell everything and retire. It put him out of business. I really felt sorry for him.

Personelly I think thieves should shot on site, and left for the buzzards to eat.

Looks like they stole someones business and ability to make a living. That's what pisses me off the most about these thefts like this. If a thief steal someones tools that they use to make a living there should be a bigger punishment IMO!

Any theyll probably sell the stuff for penny's on the dollar.

I never understood when you buy a 10,000 car you get a title and keys that don't fit any other car, but you go out and buy $100,000 piece of equipment, you get a bill of sale and a key that fits every other $100,000 piece of equipment.

About 20 years ago in SE Kansas, there had been a rash of cattle thiefs. Well early one morning a farmer heard somebody coming down his drive with a pickup and stock trailer. The farmer got dressed and didn't turn any lights on. He grabbed his shotgun, and met the thieves coming back up his drive with a load of his cattle.

After the farmer shot the tires out, the radiator, all the glass, and what ever else he could shoot at, the thieves were begging him to stop and call the law. The cattle rustling stopped after that. These thieves were stealing whole herds at a time.

I know a guy who was an ex police chief out in Wyoming. The local tractor guy would call him every Monday morning and report a theft. Within 24 hours they would find the tractor out in the woods somewhere. The dealer was leaving the keys in them. He stopped the guy from leaving the keys in them but the joy riders had already taken a key so they still had access to the tractors.
