Just saw this post and hope you and everyone else are ok. Like others said, don't just suck it up, if it continues to hurt keep getting checked.

Glad you all are doing well and getting all the right checkboxes filled in in the process.

I missed this thread until now. I am glad everybody is moderately ok! It looks like the van won.

I was told today that the other driver did not have insurance, and that will probably wind up in court so I removed the pictures.

How can you have a truck that started out that nice and not carry insurance on it? I carry full insurance on both our vans. And they both have > 125k on them, one needing some more "fiberglass and tin" repairs.

Good luck Pat, hope this turns out as well as can be for you, your helper, the VA and the Vet.

It happenes. You only need proof of insurance when you get your tag. After that you can let it drop. Oklahoma just had the penalty stronger on that.

Back when I was drinking I only carried insurance long enough to get my tag, after that I wouldn't renew until I needed to tag again. With 2 DUI's my insurance was very high for quite a time. I have since quit drinking and started abiding by the law.

Here, if you drop your insurance, the state takes back your plate.

Well that sucks. I got side swiped by a guy about 15 years ago. The truck did not belong to the driver and the insurance on it was expired, but since the drive and the truck owner both had the same insurance they covered it. I got lucky seeing that there were about $35,000 in hospital bills and PT before I could walk straight again.
