I used the 265 and the newly built hitch to load the GT18 on a trailer, the new owner wants me to deliver it 5 miles away for $50

I mowed the yard for the FIRST time this year. It has been a very cold spring so far. Farmers are just getting going on planting corn. They are about 2 weeks behind due to the cold wet weather we have had.

Well not just today, but over the past couple days, I have mowed down 4 of the 5 acres of cornstalks the farmer who farmed this place left last fall before I bought it. The 318 has done itself proud, this is abusive work and it's taking it in stride.
Next big project will be reseeding it.

Just used my Massey "2055" to till some of my garden. Time to put out a few rows of sweet corn & 2 rows of green beans. More sweet corn in about a week. Try to spread the processing time apart a bit. Too much corn to freeze at a time & the wife gets overloaded!

I just purchased my Massey Ferguson MF12H a week ago, not running at the time. Got her out and got her running, needs a tune up and then I will start on cleaning her up. Slow and easy and do it right the first time.

I took friday off so here is what I did over my 3 day weekend.

Friday: Mowed the yard and then used the walk behind weed eater to mow the ditches at mom and dad's and at grandma's. Witht he wet spring we've had the ditches were still very muddy, and the grass was tall. Grandma had her yard looking good other than the tall ditch so it all looks beter now. After that I went home and tried out the sleeve hitch disc.

Saturday: I pulled the disc around some in the garden, but it was still pretty wet, used the culitvator like a chissel plow hoping to help the garden dry out. Then I finished plowing the new section where my FIL is going to ahve a sweet corn patch and I am planting pumpkins.

Sunday: used the disc and cultivator some in the garden, then my friend brought his kubota CUT over and tilled it for me. Tried running the disc thru the corn patch, but got stuck a few time when I got hung up driving thru the furrows. My sleeve hitch doesn't float so the disc was picking up the back of the tractor. Got my truck stuck once trying to pull the tractor out ( 2wd truck) had to use the wife's 4wd trailblazer to pull the truck out.

It was a good weekend.

Sunday,
Went and picked up a mower deck for the G-12, and it came with a spare tractor.
Once I get the deck fixed up and in service, I'll evaluate wether the spare is a future project or an organ doner.
At least now I have the origonal techuma now, and it turns free and has compression.

Opps, put it in the wrong one...

Good deal Billy, but I would leave the one you have alone, that Wisconsin is nice and besides, the tractor already works great. :D

Went out yesterday afternoon to mow the yard with my JFD F525, deck clutch wouldn't engage! :confuse: Checked everything I could, including the safety switches (a test light is all I had to work with). Don't think it's getting any power to the clutch! :(

So, I put the deck on the 420 & mowed with it, kinda' awkward compared to the F525's front deck, but it got the job done! :smile1: Nice to have a backup or two! :D

Took the F525 to the dealer today for repairs, still think it's a switch problem, we'll see! ~~ grnspot

Ran the disc around the unplanted part of the garden and out in the sweet corn patch, found out it does a better job in high gear. It doesn't take very long to get from one end of the garden to the other in high gear.
