I finally decided to scrape the driveway before we get this cold snap and everything becomes real solid. I had to move the Bolens 1220 from in front of the garage so I could move the Bolens 1600Hin to work on it. Since I had the 1220 running I decided to blow a little snow and see how the blower does with slush that was at the end of the driveway. It did really well just doesn't throw it as far when it is this heavy. After I parked the 1220 and got the 1600H started to move it inside I decided to scrape the driveway down with the 1600H and the snow blade and then I put it in the garage to do some work on it.

Just trying to keep the hogs fed today. The gateway to lower barn wont open completely so feed is hauled by GE E20. One sack had to be put up front for ballast. Wheelies can be fun ( and dangerous ) but I couldnt steer it.

Well, the one Perkins died on me. Been having probs with the one 2745 missing & idling rough. Today it didn't pull out the 1st load. Had to pull it out of the way & put the MF1100 on the honey wagon. The 1100 has plenty of power, but it's a lot of weight pushing it, so I have to be careful.
Dad said the 2745 was getting air at the prime pump, but I told him it was more than that....and it is! I do think the bypass return valve is stuck for one thing, and may be an injector pump issue also. Have to see on another day.....it's poop spreading time! lol In for lunch, then back out.

Daniel, On smaller Perkins engines, that always seemed to me to be the weak spot. I have had 3 welders and 2 forklifts with 4cylinder Perkins in them. All of them have had pumps rebuilt. Engines are bullet proof, pumps are weak, I think.

I forget which pump is on this engine. I just know it's not the best of the 2 types that come on the 2745. This one might be a Roosamaster. We've had many pumps rebuilt over the years, but none on the V8's yet....maybe soon though.

Just finished loading out over 1,000 bushels of corn. Used my Massey 1010 to run the auger. Did as well as a big tractor...actually better....less fuel usage!
