Now I'm jealous, tractormike. It's been too cold to snow here (-13F would seem like shirtsleeve weather about now), so we've had no snow. All I've been able to do with my tractor is show it to my Bro in-law, who hinted he might want to borrow it.

We didn't have any snow today, in fact it was well above freezing today, however we have gotten a couple of inches over the course of the last few days. In preparation for the big snow that is supposedly coming tomorrow and Monday, I plowed the driveway and filled up all of my gas cans. I'm as ready as I'll ever be!

Boy what a day!! The snow storm turned into an old fashioned blizzard!!! It has been many years since I have been in such a storm. The best guess is about 16 inches of snow in 2 days. I had quit snowing by this morning and I got the tractors out to play. I started about 7 am with the Snapper 1650 blowing snow. I got about an hours worth of snow blowing in and I had a front tire go flat. I parked the Snapper in the garage and turned on the furnace. I got the Farmall H out and moved snow with it untill about noon. Then my neighbor walked over and said his Snapper wouldn't start and wondered if I would do his driveway. I climbed back on the H and did his driveway. Then back to the garage to fix the flat tire. The tire looked ok but it wouldn't hold air for more than 15 minutes or so. I grabbed a new tube, broke the tire down and put the tube in it. Back to blowing snow. I went down to the bar/resturant to blow out their back yard and parking lot. It was slow going as the snow was just as deep as the back tires so it must have been about 23 inches deep. The bar owners were quite amazed that my garden tractor could do that good of a job blowing all that snow. Just got that done and went to go back home and the snow blower wouldn't lift up. The bolts came loose and fell out of the right hand bracket that the lift shaft pivots on! I drove it home with the blower riding on the skids and put it away for now. In the last 2 days I have had 11 hours of tractor seat time!
Now to thaw myself out and grab a bite to eat.

I am jealous of all the snow that fell in the Midwest. We got a coating of snow this morning before it became freezing rain. It then turned to rain and drizzle. Still waiting for my first time to try out the new tractors and snow removal implements. We have been cold enough to snow for the last week but it warmed up yesterday afternoon and we are in the mid 40's right now. Same things for tomorrows weather, rain and warm then back to more normal temperatures.

I finally got to use the 1050 with the Blower!!

I didn't take pics .... 5:30am really wasn't a good picture or video time LOL.
We got around 4and 1/2 inches. Its snowing at a rate of 1'' an hour.
By the looks of it I may get to use the blower 1 more time today. Its still snowing pretty good here.
Here is a pic of the current conditions... (Yes I do know the date is wrong :wallbanging:)
All the snow you see is from last night... I could see the lawn yesterday

We had another 3 inches of snow yesterday so last night was another chance to play in the snow. That brings our total so far to about 26 inches of snow! I heard on the weather last night that this is 5 times as much snow as our normal December and we have more than a week to go in the month. The 1650 Snapper is getting a good work out.

Used the MF1855 w/FEL to bring the parts D4-10 near my shop door & haul some sacks of calf feed from the feed truck delivering feed to the bins. I need to take it completely down to store the parts. It's been weathering & no need for it to rust further. It's fenders & footboards will go onto the Bush Hog V4-6 whenever that time comes, and the transaxle needs to be inside. FINALLY some time with my GT's!

My driveway is clean again. It's never been this clean before, not even in July. I have to go stir the wheat now, or it's going to take a tractor to lift it.
