I hooked up the sprayer and did the clam shell drive and turnouts one last time for the year, then cleaned out the sprayer, filled it with 1:8 bleach/water mix and washed the siding and trim on the house and did the decks and railings, garage and shop buildings. I usually just wash them every April, but this year was so wet and cloudy that the mold came on even in warmer weather. It was barely showing mostly on the north sides, but I knew if I didn't get it now it'd be a mess come spring.

Allis 917H and I swept some leaves today.

I had already put her to bed to hibernate for the winter , but

woke her up after a short nap to pull the sweeper.

I could have used one of my JD's but thought the sweeper

might work better with a color matching tractor !!

I actually mowed the yard again today. Didn't use the Bolens, it already has been prepped for snowblowing duty.

The oak tree in the section of lawn I wanted to rework has lost all its leaves so it was time to get to work.  I put glyphosate on about six weeks ago to kill the old grass and weeds.

I was was worried about hitting roots with the tiller so I went over it with my middle buster first.  I didn't want to use a turning plow because I didn't want to go that deep or have to fill a furrow.

The only root was one I already knew about so the middle buster might not have been all that necessary.

Then I tackled it with the tiller I bought this summer.

This is the first time I used the tiller.  It did a good job but blew lots of blue smoke when it was under load.  Someday I guess I'll have to rebuild the top end on the engine.

This week I'll grade it out and seed it.

I hope we see some of that here in the NW this year. I have a snow blower that I would like to try out before I die. :tapping_fingers:

Where in the northwest. I could see it from the house Wednesday about 30 miles west of Spokane. Not quite down to my level yet. Don

I've been thinking I might have to haul it up towards Mt. Baker to test it out.
