Did the first mow of the season about a week too late tonight after work and the old 1975 MF12 has started it's 41st year of service! Smokes but still runs great. Heck, I smoked at 40 years old and ran pretty great too but that was a looooong time ago! Not enough time to do the back yard though. Maybe tomorrow.

I got stuck.

First time ever mowing the yard with a rider too. There is a back section of the yard that is low and stays soft, well it was wetter and larger than normal. HaHa!

Tell me about it, used a big 2x4 and levered it out, wasn't too bad.  I have been thinking I want to get some ag tires because my yard is so hilly anyway and could use the traction, this experience may speed that purchase up.

Busy here today! Hauled 2 loads of gravel base in from the RR crossing a half mile away. They just redid it and there is a lot of material laying in the ditch. Used the FF and my dyump trailer. Worked a bit more on the sulky, need some pics of it to post. Got the Cub out and finally got it to run. Thought it was the coil, but may just be a bad connection at the ignition switch.

Mowed the back yard with the 120 and attacked some unruly shrubs planted by the previous owners with the 51SV.

Well, I started the weekend house hunting, Wife has her mind set on a Palm Harbor "Home Run model. We toured the house, now to figure how to finance it. Then I spent some time sealing 3/4 of the roof on the current mobile home with "cool seal tar" Got that crap all over me including my belly. I was not going to use gas there to clean off. Then we had company over for a bbq, took several joy rides on BMP with the trailer. Finally ended the weekend with push mowing around all obstacles, then riding RED for a couple hours in-between rain drops. Had to clean the deck twice, as the grass started dry, then got progressively wetter. Phew, I'm beet.

Yesterday I gave up on a local plowday, it was down south of me, which is where the weekend's rain was coming from also.  Spent about 3 hours Saturday morning setting up and running my Gravely tractor instead, plowing my own garden a final time as well as getting my neighbor's ready to go.  Rain hit me as I was wrapping up, so called it quits for the day.

Today, I pulled the "dump" Massey out of the shed and cut the yard late in the day.  It was wet from the previous day's rain, but cut without clumping too badly and would otherwise have gone upcut till who knows when.....not sure how I'll handle next weekend.

I am a little late posting from the weekend... I let the girls drive the kubota around for a bit while the wife mowed with Woods.

Aaron had 2 loads of 'Bottom Ash' hauled in for the drives today. Had to trim one tree so they could spread a load. Used the FF to drag the limbs off to the burn pile. Had the box blade on so I did what I could in areas he couldn't get to with the big JD. Got real busy there for a while!
