...It looks like I may end up doing it again tomorrow morning as well, at least from what the "weather guessers" are saying.

"Weather guessers", lol, I like that. I always said it's the best job in the world. You can be wrong 90% of the time and they keep letting you come back to "guess" again.

We didn't get enough snow to bother trying to plow, but there was enough for the kids to sled. I hooked the sled to the back of my Cub Cadet 147 and dragged the kids around the yard and hay field.

My tractor taught me a couple lessons today.

Oversized Ag type tires are no substitute for good chains on ice.

Single stage blowers work hard to get rid of wet stuff.

If you don't chisel all the ice off your tin pan seat, expect it to melt and soak thru the Carharts to the undies.

Wet Carharts will freeze to a cold tin pan seat.

In spite of my lessons, I had a good time doing snow removal. Between the SS12 and the GT6000, the job wasn't what you'd call work.

I finally got to use the 318 I bought two years ago to snow blow. Boy having a cab is nice.

Thanks for sharing. We can all take a lesson from your experiences. I have never been a big believer in ags on ice. Two years ago my JD 110H with ags had frozen into about an inch of ice. I cranked it over and it broke free right away, but sat there clunking up and down in it's own "ag" ruts.

I rewired the charger 12. I must say she fires right up and runs better. Also got the plow angle level on. Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2

100_2528.JPG 100_2527.JPG Keith and i did alittle snow removal today. He fired up his ht20 and i started on his cc 122, the big bolens did fine the 122 on the other hand is alittle to light to handle 6-8" of heavy wet snow, so i parked it and went and got my father n laws 580c backhoe and finished up with his 275 massey. here are some pics of th bolens. i have some video also if i can figure out how to put it on i will.
