Welcome to the site! That is a good tractor for a restoration! I would suggest posting a list of the parts you need any maybe somebody who has some parts can help you out. I also recommend checking out the site sponsors to see if they have any parts.

:welcome: to GTTalk

I would second Ryan's idea about contacting our site sponsors, they are a great group.

Their contact forums can be found here: http://gardentractor...-site-sponsors/

That would be the same as a Jacobsen Chief from that era. Got a couple Jake guys hiding around here somewhere!

The original seats were plywood with foam and covered with vinyl and 2 hinges on the front.

Belt guards are very hard to find.

Your fender pan is in really good shape for the year of the tractor. If it's not twisted like mine was I would just clean it up,fix any rust holes and repaint her.

That's a really early Ford/Jacobsen GT. It's early 1960s 63-65

It's the same thing as a 63-65 Jacobsen Chief 1000 and they made a few more of the Jacobsen GTs so you might luck into some Orange parts.

Oh and :welcometogttalk:

Nice find and welcome! I understand that the T-series is pretty tough to find. I have a 65 Moline that I need some of the same parts for. Unfortunately, a few parts such as the shields and grille are specific to 1965 models. As another memeber said earlier, the '63-65s are essentially the same tractor so the fender pan and headlights should work from any of those years.

Another GTtalk member wrote an article awhile back on the T-series. I will try to get him to hook you
up with it, or if I can find it I'll send it to you.
