I have an engine and I don't know what brand or model it is. It had no sheet metal when I got it. Hopefully someone will recognize it.

I agree Clinton - they have the curved cooling fins on the head.

I could be way off (I am way off), but it says Lauson to me by a couple things, but yes, like has been said, the curved fins aren't a Lauson thing.
Did some looking. here's a manual for a few Clinton models that look like your engine Brian. I'll add it to the engine manuals also.

Lauber could probably tell you the model # Clinton that is.. I'm pretty sure that is the same motor that came on the Wards Walking Tractor I used to have. Dad cleaned out his sheds a couple weeks ago or it would still be sitting on his shelf.

Looks a lot like the 3 1/4 Clinton on my Gravely clean cut carb is a little different

I felt it was a Clinton, but wasn't sure enough to try to find tin for it.

If you measure the bore and stroke, There's a resource somewhere that can tell you which models it could be. I'll have to see if I can locate it again though :blush2:
