Woke up Saturday morning and stood up to find myself looking at the floor. I had sprung my back the day before at work and I was still suffering from it. Managed to make a cup of coffee and start the morning routine. Finally got myself straightened up enough to look out a window and...
Overcast, Heavy Clouds, Threatening Breeze... rats!

Oh well, I have a Tractor Show to go to!

Met Caseguy at the grounds and we unloaded and set up. We had GTTalk cards on the equipment & tractors, a couple LAGC's out for conversation, the banner & standee up and our smile on to greet... No One.

Seems the threat of rain was enough to keep people away for a while. Well, considering the attendance problem, and the fact we had an errand to run, off we went. Back at 9:30 happy to see a few cars parking and some people milling around.

We had a great time Shaking hands and shooting the breeze. Lots of questions on the attachments, tractors, website... It was a good morning.

Steve and I decided we had pressed the flesh enough for a while and decided to walk the Flea Market. It was much smaller than last year, and the GT stuff to Junk ratio was skewed, but it was a nice walk with friendly vendors to talk with.

Lunch for me was the special of a Sausage Sandwich with Peppers and Onions, Caseguy had the Salisbury Steak with Mashed Potatoes. The day was just getting better and better.

We did a quick stop over to put more cards out and talk with some friends who showed up, and then tried to walk the grounds. We got a good portion of things seen, but not everything. One thing different from last year, someone decided not to park the GT's together like last year... somehow it was better to scatter them all over. It was because of this that I didn't get to see my Friend Chip and his Sears Stuff until about an hour before we were to leave.

Chip had a new & unusual LT piece this year.

He had this little Toro Rider with a corded trimmer attached. The blade is not string, it's a little metal piece that looks like a miniature mower blade. He told the story of finally finding out what the connector under the hood was for & a few days later, he was at a friends house and saw one of the exact trimmers sticking out of a pile scheduled to be recycled. Quite the attachment save!

Our hats and shirts sparked more than a few conversations and we had a great time answering (and asking) questions, taking pictures and enjoying some good natured ribbing.

Thanks to GTTAlk, I had an excuse to have a very enjoyable day with Friends, Family and Tractors. And what better way to spend a Saturday?

I am glad you wer able to have a good time at the show with Steve! Thanks for the pics! I was excited to see that little toro, I have one like it but smaller. I have only seen pics of two more that were both bigger.

Some nice looking GT's there Alan. I am always amazed by the variety of tractors that are out there at all these shows. Thanks for representing GTTalk and documenting this show for the rest of us.

No Will, not one Massey. Last year, they was one, but this year... I guess I should've taken Ryan's and the big trailer.
