Well, hopefully I can get the tires on this weekend. I know I've seen pictures of other LGT14/16D's with AG type tires. Google might be a good way to find some.

I just wish I'd had time to get my tractor painted before it turned too cold. All I have is a couple of kerosene heaters in the garage and open flames and spray paint in a closed area tends not to react too well!

I'll see if I can't get a picture of mine with the ag tires posted on here this weekend, if I can get the thing to start in this 25 degree weather we've been having

That's what I'm dreading this winter: We will get a bunch of snow and I'll think I'm ready for it with the plow and tires and the blasted thing won't start!

I was really hoping to see some pics of these tractors with the AG tires installed. I'm trying to figure out which ones I want to buy. I'm leaning towards the Firestones.

That would be great to see the blades next to each other, so we can all learn. Thanks

Here ya go!

Looks good. I have plenty of paint so yeah, I could paint it once the weather warms up but for what it would cost to get it here...

When you go to rebuild the deck, the nuts that hold the pulleys on (and the whole spindle assembly together) are REVERSE THREAD. I found it out the hard way after fighting with them for a week. It wasn't until I accidently flipped the impact in to "forward" and then they came right off. Once I got them off, it was easy to rebuild the spindles.

Thanks for the heads up on the spindles, yeah this old girl spent most of its life outside and would just have a tarp thrown over it in the winter, so the paint is a little ragged. She's only got 458 hours on it, so its worth putting a little money into

Oh, absolutely it's worth putting some money and TLC into it! right now, I'd get after that surface rust before it pits. I got lucky on my spindles that my air compressor never gets much higher than 80-90 psi (I really need a new one!) so my impact never gets to full power either or I might have trashed the threads on the spindle shafts. That would have been a very expensive problem. They are still available but very pricey.

Gary, any update on how the blade is working for you this winter?  I still havent bought that one from Florida, but Im getting ready to pull the trigger.  I was hoping for some hands on experience, on how well it works for you...  Also did you ever get any pics of the sub-frames side by side?

I'm almost embarrassed to show my face here after all this time but here's the pics I did promise of the sub frame. The correct one for my LGT14D is the one that has the rest of the assembly attached (I couldn't get that pin out for anything!) The other one is 2 inches longer and has a pin welded to the front. No way to attach to my tractor.

I already have the mower deck back on my tractor but hopefully this helps somebody next winter.
