Just bought a v4-10 bush hog with wheel weights and checked this site out I believe I have a setattachicon.gif1374680696206.jpg

If in that pic there are large cast in numbers on the right side rim of the weight, then they are IH weights.  The Bush Hog casting numbers are small, like 3/8" tall, while the IH numbers are a good 1" tall and end with "R1".

Do you have more pictures of the tractor? And some history? We would all love to know more! It looks like I see the R1 on the end of the number, so I think those might be IH weights; although, I am still only looking at what could be a deceiving picture.

Glad you got the weights Peter, and I'm not envious at all.  Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have at least one more, but glad you got this pair.  When I get around to it, I plan to fill in the IH numbers cast into my one weight so it will look more like my single Bush Hog weight.   Hope you find another OE set too Scott!

I am envious of Peter! :-) he has one if the best collections of nice originals I know of! :-) just want some of his mojo to rub off on me!
Course, Daniels nice restored D4-10 and his collection of JB's are another great collection to be envious of ( and his rotary deck, v4-6, etc)I know I am not supposed to be envious, but its hard not to be! At the end of the day, I pull for all of us to save them from the scrap yard!

Darn right, as long as they are saved, we all win!

Heck, it's been 2+ years for my D4-7 restore that I haven't even put the rear end back together yet. That's been one project that's haunting me. I need to get moving on it, just haven't had any time.  :(

I was not sure that the weights I got with a D4-10 parts tractor were actually BH weights. Now I know that they are BH weights, with the casting numbers G 6411 on both.

Wanna part with one?  :smilewink:   I already know the answer to that question, but had to ask.  By the way, maybe you need to change your user name to LPHog??  :smilewink:

You are right, Daniel, you already know that I couldn't break up the set.

As for changing to LPHog, well, I have WAY more Bolens tractors and attachments. I also have a couple of Massey Ferguson MF12's. If I had known when I started with all of this that I would get a little carried away, I probably should have used the name "LP-GTFanatic"
