Went to the scrap yard to sell some copper for my son. While I was there one of the workers I always talk to asked if I wanted to look at something. The guy said he sold his tractor a couple of years ago and the buyer didn't want to buy the post hole digger and he was tired of mowing around it. He said it worked fine. They unloaded it and then loaded it into my truck. Bought it for $28.42.

Yesterday I saw a listing for suitcase weights on Austin Craigslist just 8 minutes after the guy posted it and emailed him with my phone number. He called and I arranged to pick them up on my way home from a doctor's appointment. Five 30 pound weights for $25.00. Brian (Texas Deer and Horse) also saw it but lucky for me he was in N.C. Had to mount them on the MF14 today but only have room for four. He even gave me the all thread rod to hold them together..

The post hole auger is a good deal, nice score.

The weights? Why don't you just march on down to the police station yourself, and save the local law enforcement the trouble of tracking you down? That deal is somewhere between 'holy carp!' and 'oh, come on!'.

Nice weights and at a great price. Is that auger a cat 1 3pt that you would use on a compact tractor?

Yes, it's a Cat 1 that I'll use with my Massey Ferguson MF20 Industrial (45HP).

Yeah, but I could have beat him there anyway, he lives about 70 miles south and I live 35 north. When I was chatting with him about them last night he mentioned two Craftsman GT6000's on Craigslist for $150 total for both but my brother had already gotten them for $110. One had an 18hp Briggs and the other a 20hp Onan, both horizontal shaft. I think he got a better deal than I did.

Wow! $110 for THOSE engines is quite a deal! Yes, I think your brother does have you beat. Say, why is your brother not a member? Lol!

He might be, I am unaware if he is. If not, I would enjoy seeing his stuff and hearing from him!
