Last week I bought a better engine flywheel shroud, a carb, and an air filter assembly off ebay. I figured I may have given too much at $51 delivered, being often you can buy a whole engine for just a little more, but turns out a good purchase. It had a near new air filter element, and today I took the carb apart to inspect. It had very recently been rebuilt & in perfect shape except for the throttle plate on the throttle shaft was real loose(the plate the governor rod hooks to) and would not peen tight. So I just used my mig to weld it solid. Put it on the TR10D and it runs even better than before. This kind of makes me want to go ahead & put the tractor together as-is, and restore later, and I may just do that, being I haven't the time to get into a restore for a long time.
