I think what you're talking about is the cast front hubs painted yellow. never seen any Bush Hog front wheel weights, and no mention of them in any paperwork I've ever seen.

You are right Daniel, I went back and saw that they are front hubs, just looked like wheel weights.

If those are original weights and I hoping they are....will be the first I have ever seen.....they were an option.....so you will be the first and maybe only one who has them!! Good for you!

The motor, two transmissions, hood, deck, frame, etc will just be a bonus!!

Have a safe trip!

I too hope they are original weights, and I think they are. Not sure how I can confirm it, but maybe Bush Hog Corp knows if they are or not. I was thinking George got weights with his HD?

Got the Jeep all checked, and all is ready to go. Plan to head out between 4 & 5am in the morning, and be back late Saturday night. Gonna take my time coming home. I gave Dad orders NOT to work in the heat so I don't have to come home to him not feeling well. Seems when I'm gone, he thinks he needs to get the work done of 2 men. He said he planned to feed in the mornings, then go home to the AC.......sure he will! :( Hoping he does though!

I hope all goes well on the trip and that your dad at least sorta follows "orders". Enjoy the tour of the plant/assembly line and you find there is at least one more treasure you haven't yet spotted in your new spare parts!!

Great find Daniel. Have a safe trip down and back. Tell your Dad I will be watching him. Feed and go home for a break.

In a hotel in Cullman, Alabama. Wanted to take the slow train home. I could have made it home by 9pm or so, but tired & taking it easy.
Have quite a few pics, but as usual, having trouble getting them uploaded to this laptop. If I keep having problems, you may have to wait till tomorrow evening to see them.
Got at least one complete tractor in the back of the Jeep, minus a fuel tank, of which I have one at home, and tank mounting straps also.
I was already through the tour of the plant and waiting for my friend Dawson to get on lunch break & he said he would meet me where I was parked. Then he called me & said the Bush Hog P resident wanted to meet me, so I drove to the offices where he & Dawson were waiting for us. We had a great time talking, and the prez is a great guy. Good to meet Dawson again too! Dawson used to be a design man at Allis Chalmers until they merged with Agco & his job was lost. So glad he found Bush Hog. If I can get these pics to load tonight, I'll get them posted. BTW.... I have a bill of sale of a D4-10 in my name from Bush Hog, so I will likely be the very last to have bought a D4-10 from Bush Hog forever!!!!! :dancingbanana:

Here is the restored D4-10 on permanent display in the office lobby, just under the big Bush Hog Logo.

The tour was kind of a rush, as it was almost lunch time, and everything would shut down soon. Not even had time to look at the pics, so some may be fuzzy. I'll just post them all without details. Most are self descriptive anyway.

Here are the rest of the pics. As to the cast rear wheel weights, they are original weights, but sourced out as most companies did. They appear to be identical to cub cadet weights.
