I'd like to have this puppy, but after the thatcher and front PTO, my tractor fund is a bit low...

That planter looks to be in really good shape. Would love to see someone on the site get it. I am curious to see what the reserve is on it.

On a side note, going to move this to the ebay/craigslist forum with a link to it remaining in the Bolens forum.

Boy, That is one nice looking Brinly planter. I hope someone from here gets it. Good Luck if your bidding on it.

Cool item! I did not even know that Brinley made a planter for garden tractors!

  Final bid was $900.00

Seems like WAY too much. Especially considering that the bid just before that was $665.77.

The way ebay works. If someone else told ebay "I'll bid over anything up to $899", then any future person who says they are willing to bid anything over $900, it will automatically jump up to that level.

I used on this spring to plant the field we had our first plow day at, it was a horror show! We actually tried 3 different planters, the one that worked the best was a hand held GardenWay unit
It put the corn ( high bred seed, very different shape and hard to find a plate to put it down correctly) in clumps and very in even. I need to look and see what they were, I know one was an IH and the Brinely the third one was the one I had never heard of, it was black and orange and made for a cat. 1 hitch. It was the one that did the best job after some minor fiddlingwith the seed plate and deflectors. It planted the old Indian corn perfectly.
I think all the issues were seed related .... it was an odd shape and smaller than normal corn so all the plates had issues except the garden way rig? Very different designs too.

They should be happy with what it brought

But I see they have the seed plates on for $150.00 each, good grief
