I found an1950's Toro Reel mower on craigslist with what i believe is a 5s Briggs.The gentleman wanted to get a 16 horse v twin out off his way said I could have it if i wanted it,it has no spark,no numbers on the motor any where to be able get any part numbers to order.Would like to order new points and an armature for it,but do not no what to order.Any advice?013.JPG 011.JPG

I'm not sure about the twin, but if your talking about the 5s, then the points are briggs 29667, condenser 29861. Both can be found on ebay. I believe they even have a download of the 5s here in the manuals section. :thumbs:

I am trying to find parts for the twin but neither one has spark so eventually will be looking for parts for both

That twin is a Briggs opposed it appears, not V-twin. It may be Onan, but I don't think it is.

That is why i could not find anything similar to it .I searched and found one with model number but was not the same style.will look more tonight .have to put in my days work so i can pay for the new parts.

Could that twin be a Kohler? I don't think it is an Onan, but have been wrong before.

It is a Briggs 16 hp ,that is all i can read on the sheet metal,I got these from gumby and told him what he was missing out on and he checked us out
