I just spoke to Jim @ Dandy Sales. I was ordering a few parts and while I had him on the phone I asked a few questions. He verified this model A is one of the original Copars produced in College Park MD. He said that the steel pulleys are a dead give-away and is a very sought after machine. He knows of only about 8 with earlier serial numbers (on record anyway). One was #116 and he sold that one a while back. He said he has #127 yet. The first 360 or so were produced in College Park before they relocated to Laurel MD. My jack shaft (for lack of a better term) has Laurel MD cast in it, but he said he is positive it has been replaced due to the stamping on the frame and the steel pulleys. I still haven't gotten to the engine, but now I am inclined to move a little faster on it. My girlfriend likes this model better than the other models.

I wish I could find a serial number on mine that easily. Its driving me crazy. I've looked in every place I've read about and seen pics of and nothing.....
