So, I am reviving a 6" plow for a David Bradley but I'm missing the weed rod. Can anyone help by providing the measurements and angles so I can make one?

The part number is 5324M. It was used on all David Bradley plows including those for the Suburban.

Sure, Junk Junkie, I can wait. I'm in the middle of electro bathing & painting the other parts. Lots to keep me busy...

OK, I think I've got most of what you need.
A= 4"
B= 10.625" to the angle2
C=? I'm not sure what you need there.
D= 1.25" od, .5625" ID

Near as I can tell, the angle1 is 25* and angle2 is around 40* (best extrapolation I can get). Angle 2 may have been bent at one time, I cant tell.

Also, I tried to get the overall length of what the rod probably started length wise. It seems to be 19.25" overall length, if straightened out.

Here are some pics with the take measure next to it to hopefully answer the question I forgot.

Alan, C could be diameter of the rod.

Awesome! I love the pictures. I didn't realized that angles 1 & 2 are not in the same directions but at 90* to each other. Makes sense though. It looks like it is made from 3/8" round rod (measurement C).

Many thanks, Junk Junkie!

Yep, duh. Let me explain how I could be so dumb.
I printed it out on a B&W printer and went to the plow. The red didn't show on the print at all & I was confused. I will be there again tomorrow nite. (boy, that was a bone headed move, sorry)

Here is what I came up with. It is amazing what you can do with a propane torch and a vice.

I followed Junk Junkie's numbers as best as I could, but I went with 30* for angle1. It just seemed easier than 25*. It took some time to rap my head around the lower bend (angle 1) being a forward bend. I expected it to bend towards the back.

It may not be OEM, or NIB, but it should be functional. If not, I can adjust it accordingly (because I built it).

Again, many thanks to Junk Junkie for his numbers. I appreciate the "extra mile".

That looks about as close to OEM as you get. I'm sure the weeds won't mind the extra 5 degrees ;)

Looking forward to seeing it on the plow and the plow in action. What model tractor do you have again?

It's a Super Power (57560, series 202). It is next on the revival list. It runs and all, but it has been re-powered. It is missing the tank mounting bracket, so there is no place to mount the hood. It will also need a longer throttle cable so the hood will open.

But, first things first, I need to finish painting the plow (one piece left!) and get it reassembled. I'll add pictures of the finished product later this week or early next week, "Lord willing and the creek don't rise".

Well, the Lord was willing & there is absolutely no danger of the creek rising. We haven't had rain in 3 weeks. That said, here is the weed rod on the revived plow. I've also included a before shot.
