I assume (dangerous thing to do I know)

Max front axle 200kg
Max rear axle load 360kg
Gross 560kg
Rear tyres are 6x12 2 ply rating so wont take too much load

Towing capacity 2000kg
Breaking?? capacity 2000kg
The type of trailers used with these are the ones with the axle in the centre line so the load is balanced

Thats my guess any way

The load plate is under the tow hitch, i had the tractor for over a month before i spotted it.

Ah, I will look there.

From the little German I know, the 2nd 2000 Kg, which, is proceeded by Zul Anhangelast, is

"Total tow weight"

Not sure about the one above it.

Hey Gav, I gotta ask. What the heck is that?

No idea, some of the photo's I have posted were taken by the guy I bought the tractor off, he seems to have a small garden machinery business in Germany.

Did you find a date plate?

Edit - Just been looking at your photo's again, has your tow hitch been removed to fit the hydraulics?

Did you confirm your serial number?

Yes, the tow hitch is missing. I'll have to fab one.

I haven't had a chance to check for the date plate yet.

The Date plate is riveted to the underside of the tow hitch, so I don't think you will have one. Will just have to go by serial numbers, if we can get a few and see where yours is compared to the rest. If you can confirm if yours is what we thought from the photo and I will try to get some from the fellow in Germany that i have been emailing

I haven't had a chance to confirm that # yet, Gav.
My plan is to get Elf into the shop, maybe on the weekend.

No hurry Will, Once you have her/him in the shop those decal pics would be good. I will have a go at uploading the manual I have although the photo's in it have not scanned to good.

I suppose, this really is the fruition to this thread, about the Elf coming to North America.

Remember that big fancy crate, with the ears on it, that the Elf arrived in?
The one that Doug dove into. :poke:

Well, when I got it home, I was so anxious to get at the elf, I couldn't take
the time to pull the nails. I chainsawed the end off the crate. That's all that's
left of the crate.

Since then, my daughter painted a mural on it, and today, I fastened it to the
exterior of Massey Hall. I think she did an awesome job, depicting the whole
ordeal.
Once I had it hanging, I stood there, admiring it, with a cold one.
A couple things I noticed.
It's missing "2012" in the banner.
It needs a MF logo on it.
According to that map, we(Canada) own Lake Ontario.

That map is great. Good thing that sea monster didn't attack the Elf.
