About the crazy part. My family, freinds, loved ones are Ok with it. It's a good crazy.
About the expensive part. When I started this adventure, my wife asked, "Are we still going on a holiday this winter?
And besides all that, life is too short, to not enjoy it. But don't ever ask how much. Wifey might be watching. :smilewink:

It's only money, and you can't take it with you.I had a funny feeling you would go after one of these.Just going by your interest in the other thread.Good score. Can't wait to see pictures.

Y

You have a great family my friend, one that understands & then even still loves you! LOL You got it right, life's too short, so ya gotta grab the GT's by the axles & drag them home while ya can! I bet you're one wound up excited guy right now! Have your wife to keep some smelling salts handy when that crate arrives. I know a rough & tough Canadian that may get dizzy when he pops that crate open to see that jewel !

:bigrofl: :bigrofl:

I'm trying to get Doug to meet me at the warehouse, so he can catch me if I faint. LOL

After having the pleasure of actually meeting you and seeing all of the great things you had done with your Massey collection, I am not surprised that this is the newest addition . Thanks for sharing a really great story and please keep us updated. Will, congratulations on a fantastic addition.

Thanks
Well, you know what I'll be up to this winter. I should have it done, when you come up to see something(not Elf) fall through the ice.

I'll be there, that's going to be something to see for sure, and if Will faints before I do maybe I can snag it before he comes to.

Oh yeah, one other thing.
After reading all those comments about that darn fancy crate, there is no way Doug and I will destroy it.
It will be saved, and put in Massey Hall. Maybe even get used as a bar.

That is quite the purchase there Will. I look forward to seeing your rebuild thread this winter. Are you going to get any of the cool attachments that were in the sales flyer also?

Congrats Will. That is awesome that something to that magnitude between language barriers and different continents that it all came together. Can't wait till you get it and get some more pics posted of it. And you definitely need to add it to the registry.

It had a couple attachments, which I passed on, due to shipping costs. They were homemade. Original
implements are readily available in Europe, as they where made by the company that built the Elf for MF.
Gutbrod was, and still is a large manufacturing company in Germany. Their 1030 is the basis for the Elf.
Very similiar situation, as it was with Dura Corp, MotoMower, and the MF Executives.
But again, shipping the attachments is the killer. I#m starting to get to know a couple Elf owners in Germany, and
am hoping they will provide me with enough info, so I can fab up a few.
