I've been working on this deal for months. It seems like a year, because I couldn't
share it with you guys, until it was carved in stone.

I found a MF Elf listed for sale on an obscure buy/sell web site in Denmark. After about 100 emails,
many pictures and videos, we finally made a deal, and then I lined up a freight forwarding company
to get it here. It was a challenge, but fun. All communications between Claus (owner in Denmark) and
I where done using Google translator.

It is now sitting in that fancy crate in a warehouse in Denmark, and I have title.

Soon it will get loaded into a container, and then on a ship, headed to Montreal Canada.

If it doesn't get in trouble, and get thrown overboard, it will the get trucked to Toronto where I'll
pick it up.

I'm pretty excited about getting my hands on this thing, but will have to wait till early Aug.

Just a few more pictures.

Oh yeah, in case any of you are wondering why I've done this. Well, as many of you know, I'm
GT crazy. :smilewink:
Also, from all the research I've done, it seems that about only 150 of these where ever sold in 1963, and
I haven't been able to find mention of one in north america. Of course, that doesn't mean there
isn't one, and if anyone knows of one, please let me know, as I'd love to speak english to
someone else that has one.

Congratulations Will! I did not even know they existed until it was mentioned in the other thread! I thought you already had it in your possession, I hope it arrives safe and fast. I wish you the best of luck with your new purchase!

I wanted to be the 1st ( :smilewink: ) to reply, so had to make it skimpy. Now I can add more! Man, you sure came through! That had to be quite the undertaking, AND quite expensive! This definitely takes you into the "GT CRAZY" end of the spectrum, but I say crazy is as crazy does, and man have you done good, crazy good! :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

I wanted to be first too! I was contemplating between typing the whole thing, or making it short. My heart dropped when the thing came up showing it had another reply. If we still had the thing at the bottom that showed who was looking at the thread I could have seen you were looking at it and beaten you. :flamethrower:

Will, this is a very cool purchase, can't wait to see what you do with it restoration wise.

Hope the trip is uneventful and your Elf enjoys it's luxury cruise.

About the crazy part. My family, freinds, loved ones are Ok with it. It's a good crazy.
About the expensive part. When I started this adventure, my wife asked, "Are we still going on a holiday this winter?
And besides all that, life is too short, to not enjoy it. But don't ever ask how much. Wifey might be watching. :smilewink:

You have a great family my friend, one that understands & then even still loves you! LOL You got it right, life's too short, so ya gotta grab the GT's by the axles & drag them home while ya can! I bet you're one wound up excited guy right now! Have your wife to keep some smelling salts handy when that crate arrives. I know a rough & tough Canadian that may get dizzy when he pops that crate open to see that jewel !
