I was using flickr to host my pics but with a free account you can only have 200 pics. Right around the time I started posting here I got to the 200 mark and I switched to photobucket. Whenever I upload something I just put it into the main album. Since everybody here is pic hungry I had 273 pics in my album! That made it very hard to find things unless I just uploaded them. I broke everything up into sub-albums so I could find things easier. When you move something it breaks the link, and since I moved every pic into another place it broke all of the links. So, now all my pics are not viewable. Sorry everybody, but the pics I post from now on will be visible. Please, let my stay! :worshippy1:

It's ok Ryan. But I don't use any pic hosting site for posting pics here. I upload pics direct from my camera's memory stick or from photo files on my PC where I also download them from my memory sticks. The site's software automatically resizes when you do it directly, and they will be in your "My Media" here on GTT from now to doomsday if you need them.

That's too bad Ryan. What a way to learn that.

Oh well, you can just get busy taking lots more pictures.

Sorry to hear this, Ryan. It is best to upload pics straight to the site. I can't count the threads I have come across in other forums where the pics were lost and made the threads useless. I did like the feature on the software that let you put them in sub albums. Wish we had it here!

Yeah, all of my other threads are pretty much going to be useless now! I use my phone to take pics and it is easier to just upload them to a photo site with an app and then I don't have to plug anything in. I think I may start to upload them right to the site. It may be a little harder, but I think it is probably safer in the long run.

I'd just plug your phone to download to picture album in your PC. Then from there to GTT. Still use it to Photobucket, then you have them in 3 places. Very safe.

That sounds like a good plan. That is what I will do. The only thing I don't like is that they all come up in a group and makes it hard to caption them.

Ryan, I use my phone all the time for my pictures. I just e-mail them to myself then put them into my photo file on my computer. Whenever I want to post a picture, I just get it from my picture files.
