Microsoft Security Essentials just snagged a trojan virus for me. Had to restart my PC after. Was a WIN32/medfos.... something or other virus.

Seems there have been more and more virus/malware alerts lately, makes me think someone is testing the system for something bigger...

Daniel,

I am not an expert..but I would keep scanning for a few startups to make sure. Also when I had mine.....I used malaware along with superantispyware to scan as well...both found items that my MSE did not find.....( my IT guy was the one who suggested I use the superantispyware and it found a couple of memory files that malaware or mse did not find).....

Glad that you caught it!!

According to what I have read by Monday only 211,000 (world wide) were affected but originally when they busted the scammer's it was like 4 million. Most of the computers had been fixed or replaced by now.

Finding trojans on computers these days is not all that uncommon. It's when you start finding them behind the computer you should start wondering.:D
