Just ran the serial from the engine through that fun link to Wisconsins and it popped up as January of 1967. Now that we have their birthdays, I can relax a little.

Your 1050 Is most likely a 1968 then.
Usually the engines Bolens used were 1 year older than the actual models themselves.
