Well I have found a Continental Motor for my 5756 Tractor, it originally had an AU7 on it from the factory but I am going to install an AU8 instead. The AU7 would have been either 1.6 or 1.8 HP and the AU8 is 2.5 HP. Its close or about as close as I can get.
I am needing a few parts for it. The plastic Governor cover, spring and linkage for carb, but I can make the linkage. Points or something that will work. It is very rusty, (came from Pennsylvania) but it does have compression.

Good for you that you found an engine.

I have a way to fix the broken Governor cover. I can screw a piece of metal to the broken area and the clip should hold it down then.

Congrats on finding the correct motor. It looks very nice. I have a 5756 that has been repowered. I have the hood and the correct fuel tank though. I'll certainly be following your progress. I've enjoyed your videos!
