I am on my way back to Seattle from Steve Johnson's home in Salem, Oregon. Just picked up two JD 140 H3's, an #80 dump cart, and two #33 tillers. One tractor in the utility trailer and the other in the back of the Chev Suburban. Looking forward to unloading and adding to the collection. These are non runners, but have promise.

That's a great haul, literally. I am especially glad you put the photograph of the 140 in the back of the Suburban. I was wondering what that would look like. Thanks.

Very nice load of JD's you have there. Just wondering what the black tiller looking thing is in the trailer?

Yes, I have hauled a few tractors in the back of the Suburban . A little work, but does fine and helps the fuel economy, not having to tow a larger flatbed trailer. I had to take the wheels off to clear the steering wheel underneath the rear door ceiling.

Well actually, it is a Lawn Boy brand garden tractor tiller made by Gilson. Also fits some Ford and Wards GT's. It came with my Cub Cadet purchase a few months back (A.K.A. Cub Cadet Mother Load). I listed the tiller on Craigslist and found a buyer in Portland, OR, who met me on my way back to Seattle during this trip. Also, on this trip, I purchased a Mighty Mac shredder that mounts to front of my Cub Cadet tractors.

I had an 80 cart I bought with my 110, back in 1977 or 78. I used it for everything: heaped high with crushed rock, sideboards for leaves and brush, even had a 50 galleon water barrel I could put in it. Kept it when I moved up to a 140. One of the biggest mistakes I made was selling it a few years ago. Would love to have another, keep looking at auction listings, hoping to find one.

Wow!, congratulations Mark- 2 140's in one shot! I've never seen one up here ever. Not sure if any were ever sold here. They are my favourite of the early JD GT's. I like the look a lot more than the later 300 series which are pretty much identical under the tin.
