This came up for sale yesterday close to me, 10min away.
Looks like it's mostly all there, has a good mower deck, not running, owner says was working good but it has fuel problems, pump, carb???
Has the 16hp OHV Tecumseh engine in it, which is the one thing that I bought it for.

Doug, that's in pretty nice shape too. Don't discount what the tractor can do, just ask Will, he'll tell you how much he loves his Sears.

Anyways, where ever that engine ends up, congrats on a nice find.

Was thinking about this tractor today and what to do with it.
It has a really good solid 44" mower deck, no rust holes, spindles are free and grease-able. The rest of the tractor looks good, the front grill is damaged and the plastic dash melted and deformed a bit.
I'm going to pull the motor, the front rims + tires.
So I'll try to sell the tractor without a motor and with the mower deck.
Somebody somewhere might be able to use it for parts or restore.

Considering the pricing on ebay & CL lately for some things, you should be able to clear 2-3000 easily.

I'm sure it won't take someone long to call you on your ad.

That would be fantastic if I could get that, are you making an OFFER ???

Around my parts the older Sears don't go for very much, even nice ones with attachments don't seem to draw the $$$ like JDs do.

I was hoping for $100. for it.

No, no offer. I was basing my estimate on the ridiculous tractors (price wise) that have been rampant lately.
