Welcome to GTTalk and congratulations on the new tractor. They are a solid GT and that one looks to be in great condition. You have wheel weights, a 3 point hitch, plow and trailer. I'd say you done alright for 550. Those wheel weights are not common at all and would be worth a considerable amount on their own.

You got a great deal.
the 3pt is all there and it has wheel weights.

the dash doesn't look in bad shape either, they are usually busted.

:welcometogttalk: That is a very good looking tractor. I think you did great with all you got! Did notice under the fender pan was red and one silver wheel on the front. Still, a great looking 990.

Kentrails, Welcome to GTtalk, Glad you joined us here.

That is a very good looking 990, the wheel weights are rare indeed. I think you did all right and if you like it, that's all that matters.

Yes, it has been painted with refrigerator yellow. I intend to make it red again, I forgot to mention a 50" mower (PN-190-992) that hooks under it. Ufortunately it just stopped running... I think it lost spark, it was runnun' kinda ruff.
Thanks for all the positive feedback, I feel much better, :dancingbanana:... I thought I might have paid to much.

Time to troubleshoot it...tomorrow

If you know what year it is, there several manuals for the tractor, mower deck blade, 3 pt., about anything you might need. Your ID tag should be under the dash, if it's still there, also you can get close on the year by dating the Briggs engine. If you need anything else, be sure to post it and we will try to get you helped out.

I have a 1973 MTD990 myself..

BTW, With the mower Deck, you got a Great deal !!
