we cooked at the "Best Dam BBQ cook off" July 2nd and 3rd. It was held at Rend Lake on the dam.

31 teams cooked at the contest.
We ended up 16th overall. We got 12th in chicken, 23rd in ribs, 24th in pork, and 9th in brisket.

Amen to that buddy. Great looking food Chuck and I am sure it tastes even better, I tried the scratch and sniff and lick my screen but it didn't work. Now I gotta clean my monitor and my keyboard from all the slobber LOL.

I think we will seriously have to work on something for a big GTtalk gathering. I know it will be hard to have it somewhere where everyone could get to without driving too far.

I think a get together would be great but I'm sure I would have to drive a ways. I probably couldn't get there as I already have 2 trips planned for this year and my trailer will only hold 2 GTs and luggage. Fun.

I know it won't happen this year. I am shooting for next year probably in the fall. It might not happen but I would love to see it happen though.

I am sure we could work it out to where either someone could haul it for you on their way too or you would be more then welcome to use one of ours and I am sure other members would be willing to let you run theirs as well.

or it would be a good reason to build a bigger smoker trailer.. That way I have room to haul tractors as well.
