Hey guys, As alot of you all know I live in Woodland Park Colorado. The Waldo Canyon fire is #1 in the nation. Colorado Springs has lost homes, HW-24 is shut down cutting Woodland Park off from Colorado Springs. The fire is 2 mile away from our home and we are on pre evacuation. 32,500 people out of their homes. We sure could use all of the members to remember us in your prayers.
Thanks to all
and God Bless.

Prayers on the way. That's an area dear to my heart, I used to spend 2 weeks of vaction per year using the Springs as a base.
My brother is in the Springs this week at a Colorado Ministers Conference.
Got an email from him last night.

Prayers for your safety and also that your property be spared from this disaster.

We were just talking at work about how selective foresting and good forest management can really reduce the severity and ease the fighting of these fires. Understanding that the dryness sure isn't helping, but an overgrown, unmanaged forest is a potential tinderbox.

News clip:
Mandatory evacuations were ordered for Crystola and part of Woodland Park after more than 32,000 people had to flee on Tuesday. How many new evacuees were moving out was not immediately available.

More of the story, and it looks like speedyg's home is in grim danger. http://www.msnbc.msn...222/ns/weather/

That saddens me, Daniel! Not just for our member, speedyg, but for all the folks in the path of these fires. They need rain badly!
