Ok Guy's My Son bought what I thought was a very nice condition St16. Well things were good untill the anouncment of the demise of Techomseh that is. Well it seems that we are now having trouble finding the parts that we so desperatly need. Anyone know where to get a NOS Starter? The tractor came with a Chinese duplicate that was complete and utter junk! We Installed it and it and it didn't last more than a bunch of starts. The starter was flawed from the get go and I have not been able to locate another. Anyone have any leads? I hate to have to go and buy a newer style tractor..
Thanks

One of the site sponsors might be able to help you. Or you could look on ebay for a used one.

The site sponsors I am sure can help. One thing they may need is the model number of the engine. It should be stamped into the tin shield. It should start with 143 if it's the OEM engine.

There are a lot of Tec. parts still out there. Check with local auto electric shops. There is a guy locally who sells replacement starters for small engines.

I could get you a starter for the tecumseh i belive the part number is 33835. As for oem they still make them just cost alot. What is wrong with the one you have? I have used the cheap ones and they hold up for awhile.

Did you check with Certified Parts Corp who know own the Tecumseh Brand?
I got pushed this way recently for some old Tecumseh Outboard Motor parts and it worked out well.
