It must be the heat, 101`F here in the shop right now. But I just had 2, 9/16" end wrenches in my hands, not I can't find them anywhere. I have looked high and low, around and under everything I've touched today. They are gone, I have lost my mind..

That is when I typically find them in my pocket, after I've looked everywhere I've been that day,

Well, I found them under the mower deck on the Ford which hasn't been moved all day. I think one of my guys is playing a trick on me, but can't say for certain. :laughingteeth:

Now if I can only find my mind.. :confuse: :bigrofl:

Like mentioned I am glad I am not the only one. I always misplace stuff all the time and it drives me nuts. It is also always when you are in a hurry too or running late.

Sounds par for the course to me. My favourite trick is to go to get something in the basement while carrying whatever tools I have been using and then come back to the garage with out them. I used to say "Where did that go" when I lost something. Now I say "Where did I put that". My solution is to keep buying more tools so I always have spares. Currently I'm out of 7/16" wrenches. I have no idea where they are. I've resorted to using 11mm which is a good fit. They will turn up somewhere I guess!

I misplace things, but I always remember what I did with it.

Brian, do me a favor please. If you happen to find your mind, look and see if mine is there too.

I hate when I do that any time, but it gets especially annoying in the winter. First, look in the front pockets, then the back pockets, then the cargo pockets, the jacket pockets, the shirt pocket, did this jacket have a pocket on the inside? Did I really look in both cargo pockets. I can spend twenty minutes just searching my clothes. Once I lost a set of keys that were in my coat pocket. I took the coat off and left it in the truck, then looked all over for the keys, they were in my jacket pocket all the time.

Tired that, it doesn't work! I got one of those magnet strips thinking if I put tool on it I could find it. So I put it on a lip just under the top of my work bench I put some tools on and spent the next hour looking for them. Yep I'm part of the club as well.

If it's stuck to you, you'll surely slap the tool checking pockets! You hid yours under the table top!

Is it under the mower deck too? Might be hard to see with that fog still in the garage...
  • Texas Deere and Horse and JDBrian have said thanks
