thanks Brian , found the id its a landlord 64 or 65 not sure which ser.# 007051 and it was a 10hp but kinda got took on the eng. ended up with a 14hp after all was said and done, but i know where there i s 10hp wis. that i think i can trade for depends how original i want to keep it bought some paint today ac orange appears to be exact match. John 3 :16 in Christ all is well

Unless you are going totally original, the 14 will give you a lot more power to work with. I would say that the PO did the swap for that same reason. The 10 and 14 hp Briggs like very similar and would take a good eye to tell the difference.

Bob the third picture shows the pully I think you and I were talking about......I am pretty sure you can pull start the motor using a cord on that pulley.....so that pulley is used to hand crank the motor....but may be used for other things as well......someone here will know.

but the pulley i'mtalking is on the other side just opposite this one it has an orange band over it look close .i will post a better pic tomorrow.

I believe the pulley you're talking about is the center PTO drive pulley. The rest of the center PTO looks to have been removed from your tractor.
