Nice catch! my wife and I use to kayak fish from a malibu two SOT. We had some great times and caught some nice fish. Now we've got a couple of little ones so we moved on to a 16' scanoe. It's nice since I can put the trolling motor on the back and let it do the work while I fish!

I've got a scanoe, too. Love it. Use it like a canoe for doing a float down a river. Put a trolling motor on it for a restricted lake or just to get through the slow spots. I even stick a 3.5 hp outboard on it for fishing on the lakes that allow gas engines.

Yeah, they are great for multipurpose boats. We paddled ours on a 3 day trip down the Big South Fork on the TN/KY boarder... there were a few times we wished we had the motor on it though! Took it through some pretty hairy rapids too, which was a blast!
