I have stumbled across a fellow who has about 50+ Garden Tractors and is looking to sell them. Say's these are the older heavy duty garden tractors in various conditions, none have run for 2+years. All are compete units some with attachments some not.

He has John Deer, Cub cadet, Bolens, Ford, Massey Ferguson.

Going out Sunday to take a look see what he's got. I know a bit about Massey's but not much about the others.

Question: Of these tractor brand's what are the better models and what should I stay away from?

Would like to get 2 if the price is right for winter projects.
I know he has 3 or 4 1450s +1650s but what else???

Any info would be nice.

:help:

Doug you just stumbled on a gold mine. Snag as many as you can. I am in the same boat though because only Masseys are the ones I know more about. If he has a JD 110 round fender for a cheap price I would snatch it up. Cub Original, 100, any of the narrow frames and if they are gear drive look for one with the creeper option.

I here ya George only got so much money and space, I can transport 2 so that's I'm shooting for , doesn't rule out a second trip though. He also said he had JD 400, 420, 455, I think these are the better ones. Can't remember the CC, Ford, or Bolens #s he said.
No MF 1855 or 1010s.
