Things sure have a funny way of working out.

When I was at my Step Dad's Wake the other day I was talking to a friend of the family that I haven't seen in years.

He was telling me about a couple morris minis he is restoring, so I mentioned the GT's I am restoring.

He then said he had an old Gravely that he was thinking about getting rid of and told me to stop over and check it out.

So I was out running errands today and he only lives like 4 miles away, so I stopped in.

It wasn't a planned event so I forgot my camera (sorry) :(

The thing is a Beast! 12hp Kohler and what looks like a 50" deck. It is in great shape with no rust.
someone just painted it a different color.

He said it has no spark, and he doesn't know anything about small engines.

So I was looking it over and he says to me, If you want it it's yours. I said " how much" he replied Free! :dancingbanana:

To make it even better he uncovered an old Craftsman rider and said I could have that to!!

I am still in shock, Who would have thought a sad situation would turned out this way!

I'll prob pick it up next week. I need to make a few mods to a trailer I just bought, I'll post pictures soon.

Wow, talk about turning the worst of situations and giving them a little silver lining.
I would hazard a guess that your Step Dad had a hand in this. The man upstairs does things in mysterious ways.

Good deeds are always repaid.....maybe not when we want them but I truly believe they are always repaid at some point. Your "find" is a prime example. Good for you Chris!!

Hey congratulations Chris. Looks like you'll be busy for a while with 2 new projects to work on. Those Gravely tractors are well built. The Kohler K's are easy to work on and you should be able to get spark without too much grief. It probably has bad points or a dead coil.
