I found with Ford on CL last night, it was only 35 miles away, so I went to look at it this morning. I was going to try to get the guy to lower his asking price of $150.00.. I don't know if it is a 145 or 165? It is pretty rough and does run, but needs rings, I think. The guy was really great and started to throw other thing in the deal. I got the tractor, Sleeve hitch-unknown brand, 3 extra front tires and 2 are mounted on nice wheels, and a nice set of front spindles. I gave the guy his asking price and brought it home. I am going to have to pull some of the tin off the motor to find out if it is a 14 or 16HP Kohler. It has the same 2 Speed Trans-Axle that my MTD990 and some Massey's use.

Here is a couple pictures til I get it unloaded.

Kenny, If it had an I.D. tag, where would be located, I can't seem to find one.

P.S. Kenny, I bought it because of yours and the work it has done for you. Thanks

Normally the tag is just below the left front reflector on the frame, just in front of the axle.

Well, that stinks. There are no I.D. tags on either side..

Try the area of the first pic without the strap on there. Should be just under the tie strap.

No ID on the engine at all Brian? I think the 341 has a anti dieseling solenoid and the 321 doesn't but I'm not sure if that's always the case. Another way for sure is that the 341 has 10 head bolts and the 321/301 have 9. Either way it's a very nice tractor?

No anti dieseling solenoid on my 341, Brian! Head bolts or engine tag if no frame tag.

Maybe I'm thinking of the 361 which is not as common as the smaller engines. The bolt count is a sure thing. You would only have to get the top piece of tin off to find out. Not much practical difference really between the 2 engines unless you are doing a lot of heavy mowing.

Never had a 14HP or 12HP. Just went from the 10HP on the Cub to the 16HP on the Ford. World of difference!

Nice score Brian. As JDBrian said, the head bolts are a sure thing, the k341 is the only one that has 10 head bolts. '

Brian goes blue! I think you did super for $150! After all, the hydro is worth that alone.
