It's only 92 today so far, forecasting some much needed rain this afternoon. It is showing rain southeast of us, and heading this way. Lord knows we need, not as bad as in places like Daniel's part of the country.

Oh man Brian, 92 would feel sooooo good right now. Glad you're getting a break. Surely I'll get one sooner or later....hopefully sooner. Still no rain in my 7 day forecast.

Well, Our rain amounted to maybe a 1/4" at the most. i was mowing the back yard to knock down the weeds before Joey and the girls get home tonight, and it started. Wasn't heavy enough to slow me down mowing, and it felt good to have a little rain falling on me. :laughingteeth:

Daniel, I need to check, but I think this is the first day in almost 3 weeks it hasn't been over a 100+ here..

well we finally got good rain last night, more than 2". This morning we got another heck of a storm and a least 2" inches. Other than a few odd place there is no water standing on the ground, so it was a good rain. Looks like it might have gone east crosst central Il, and IN. We're just starting to tassel here, its still in the 90's with more heat all next week, but at least we might make it though thanks to this rain.

Jeff, sounds like your area will be ok at least for now. The corn there should pollinate well, and that is salvation to the farmers!
2" of rain is something I've not seen for months......seems like years.

Things may be looking up. Storms have fired up west of here & I am under a 50% chance of severe storms. I am praying hard for rain from this, as it's the 1st decent chance in over a month now. I am just above "ME" in red to show where I live.

Hope you get it!

We're dry, but probably not as dry as you. Only made it up to 100 today, stayed cloudy until around noon, so that helped some. ~~ Lowell

yea we had a teaser today as well. It clouded up and I could hear thunder in the distance but not a drop. But we have a rain chance for the rest of the week so maybe we will get lucky. Daniel I hope you got some rain up your way.

Not sure if it will work like this, but if it does, here's a link to a radar loop of my area. Louisville area is getting the bulk of things.
http://radar.weather...101111&loop=yes

I just refreshed radar, and it's not looking like I'm going to get much if any.

Getting "some" rain. Certainly not enough to end drought problems, but hopefully will give the corn the drink it needs to survive. Definitely less than 1/10" so far, but dang does it smell & sound so good.

North of Louisville, Ky, areas of Indiana got over 7" rain today! Man how I wish it had settled south!
Rain here has stopped. Lasted all of 15 minutes of light showers.
