I'll do a rain dance for you fellas. You need it! There was an article on the news today about the dry spell and the affect it will have on the corn crop. The local dairy farmers association was commenting that the price of corn will be much higher due to the lower crop yields down south. So the pain from the dry spell has spread to the dairy farmers all the way up here.

Yesterday I heard on the news that all groceries that contain corn will be going up in the very near future.

This is a small line, with big broad rains coming in behind it. This has been way too long a dry spell. Relief at last! :worshippy2:

I got a full 1". :dancingbanana: Granted, lots of run-off, but still a crop saver! This will finish off the silage corn all by itself. Need more rain later to finish off any grain acres we may have left after chopping, but I am so happy to see rain. Still been sprinkling, but the widespread rain is still 3 counties from making it here, but should arrive overnight.

Good to hear you're getting the moisture you need, hope the overnight rain finishes off what you need for some time to come.

We're getting the dry, hot weather we need right now, while pretty much the rest of the country is sweltering we're having one of the wettest, coldest springs in many years. I understand that area's in 22 states have been declared disaster area's due to the drought.

It weighs in at 16,000 Lbs loaded. No big hills here but a ditch can give you quit a jolt on that little Kubota. It is an old bulk milk tank with no baffles so you handle it very carefully when it is not completely full.

I got 3/10 of an inch today too. They're kept a chance in the forecast for the next few days.

Started a general steady rain this morning after sunrise, & still raining. This is what we've been praying for! It's soaking in deep! Looks like it'll keep raining for another hour or so.
  • KennyP and twostep have said thanks
