Any more of you dry guys get any relief? No relief here. Storm cell in front of me this afternoon. Started sprinkling, and there was rain headed my way, but it then headed SE of me, gave them a good rain, then faded away. :(

I saw something today, I've never seen in N. IL. The fields are trying to tassel now and no rain in a long time. So, I saw a water tanker in a field hooked up to a portable rotating irigation gun. I can't imagine how many tankers it will take at what cost.

We've been getting the most rain in months in Central Texas but it's all be going around me. Had some minor flooding 40 miles south (east of Austin) but I've only had 1/4 inch in the past 5 days. We have a chance for rain the next few days so ................COME ON RAIN.

We actually did get some rain today... just a small storm that bounced around off the hills and mainly put spattered mud on everyone's car... grrr. Plus it raised the humidity up to about 10%... I'm not used to this high humidity... (tongue planted firmly in cheek)

That's sad. Someone is really desperate. I can only with them the best.

I got about a half hour of rain Monday. It was not a lot a all. The grass did not get any better from it. I really did not want to and rist killing more grass, but I had to mow the neighbors 3 acres yesterday, it was getting pretty bad. I am going to have to go up another click on the mower deck height again. Then, I will be at the highest setting. :(

Was using my fertilizer nurse tank but that got too small. This is what I am using as a war wagon on the drought right now. 2000 Gallon. I am on city water but my neighbor with a well is filling the tank for me. About 1 load a day. Man do I owe this guy!

This was a water spreader I had built for the Freedom Tractor Pulls till they were canceled by the town board. Just hung onto it and am glad I did. Just doing flood irrigation but it did save my first round of corn.

Any chances for rain up your way ducky? Our chances here came up to 80% for this evening & tomorrow. Much as I don't want to get my hopes up, I sure have them up right now! If I were so lucky tyo get the max average rainfall from this system, I'd get a shade over 2". Spots can get far more.

Talk of a cold front coming though Saturday afternoon.
Sure hope it gives us some rain. Field corn is really looking bad.
