That's hot, Lowell! Glad it was cloudy here most of the day. Tomorrow will be nasty, though!

As it looked, the rain is going around us, but at least it's cooling it off some! ~~ Lowell

I've been following this thread, but haven't posted. I saw on the news that about 56% of the country is in drought conditions. But then you see areas being flooded, please let there be a sharing of the moisture for our members. Hopefully things will improve soon Daniel.

Glad you're getting some rain Ryan. It's hot as heck up there too isn't it?

Today it only reached 92, but since I am on the coast it is VERY humid. Right now it is at 76% humidity.

In the 10 day-forecast tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest, and that is only 89 degrees. I attached a pic of what it looks like here for the next 10 days. We all know predictions change all the time, but it gives you an idea of what it is like here.

Yes, this is very serious, and many a farmer will go out of business....guaranteed! But I'm not going to be one of them, and we'll celebrate that in October at my plow day! I do feel for those who are looking down the barrel of despair. I had felt like that for a spell, but luckily you guys (& a small shot of rain) helped drag me out of that.

The day before yesterday, N. IL. set a record. The first time in recorded history to have 3 days in a row of 100+ degree weather. And yesterday we broke that record! I hate it when we break weather records.

70% chance of rain tonight, and 60% tomorrow. Here's to hoping/praying for a real rain! One that can pull us through with less losses.

its 20* cooler today than saturday and the humid is fairly low also. There is some cold front that helping us out now and on into next week. No rain but the low temp will save thousands of gal per hour of loss.

We're at 79* right now, from 108* yesterday afternoon! Radar shows rain from here to the SE, unlikely we'll get any of it.

At least it's cloudy & cooler!

Yippee, Yahoo, Yeh!!! :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:
Cell built up right on top of us, 3/4" in the last 1/2 hour & still raining! Down to 74*, cooler than most of
our nights have been lately! Only problem, it's not a big area, but it will sure help us! ~~ Lowell

We ended up with 1.85"!

I hope you get this rain, Daniel!

Today, I mowed over at the neighbors. It's not a big lawn and the actual mowing only takes twenty minutes with the 312. This was the first time that I noticed that the grass is browning. There are some spots that are fine and other spots that are not looking very healthy.

WOW..........So glad you got some relief! It's setting up to be promising here as well. Rains is only 40 or so miles away & forming in such a way that I think it sill slide my way. May start before milking time. Heck, I'll enjoy working in the rain. Much better being soaked by rain than by sweat!

Maybe 10 miles closer Dale, but still no rain. I won't count on it till it's wetting my head!
