The 30 tooth output gear is NLA for the gear box.
The 15 tooth input gear is avalible.

What, migh I ask, is a person to do?

My thoughs were;
#1 to find a set of 2:1 Bevel gears that would fit, not happening.
cant find a set with a 3/4" bore and a 1-3/4" mounting distance
#2 buy a 1.5:1 set for a John Deere 33 tiller, hoping the input and output shafts are the same length, and change the 5" OD driven pulley on the input shaft to a 7-1/2" driven pulley.

But there is no 2AK 7-1/2" pulley available, only a 7-1/4" 2AK74x3/4.
So beings I was going to make a pulley for the PTO shaft with a 2AK34x1 3.45" that should be here today, the closest I could find to the 3-1/2" ones my dad made, and the 1"-15 splined coupler I got from the Surplus Center http://www.surplusce...sp?item=1-1561.
I guess I'll need to buy a 2AK32x1 3-1/4" pulley or live with the faster tine speed?

:anyone:

Where all have you looked? There's a place here in PA called Erie bearing that is pretty good about getting oddball stuff.

Good luck!

For the bearing cap, that looks like a part that wouldn't be found elsewhere. My guess would be to check with someone who parts out tractors. Same with the gears. It can be so frustrating when one can't find parts you want. Why can't the factories use standard parts off the shelf instead of customizing every gear. Sorry I don't have good info for you.

Searching for lower chain case/tine shaft bearings?
1-1/4" ID, 62mm OD, Wide Inner Race, Eccentric Collar, Non-Relubricatable
Fafnir/Timken 1103KRRB3
Federal-Mogul/BCA/National WPS103GP2C
HS5125

No one wants to pay Ariens $80+ each price
