My brother and I decided to put on a small show and invited some local freinds and fellow GT fanatics for a show this Saturday. We plan on keeping it small, but word of mouth has spread enough that we aren't sure how many garden tractors and or tractors will be there. One guy at the restaraunt tonight wants to bring his "hot rod cub low-boy". (think 350 c.i. V-8). The wife made up some flyers and is finishing some posters to put out by the road to attract spectators. We plan on fixing lunch for the participants. I hope to have some kind of trophy created to be awarded to the favorite tractor to be decided by participants. We decided to refer to this as the first annual (and possibly last) Shade tree garden tractor show based on the giant oak tree it will be under. Wish us luck!!! Rick.

Every 20 year old show had a "First"

Sounds like you're going at this the right way, just remember to keep it fun for YOU too.

Also, not to be a wet blanket, but look into riders for your insurance or something for the day. Especially if you're going to have a v8 there. Might want to make a few signs up with a few rules... Y'know, the normal stuff.

Great idea and just one more example of "build it and they will come"

Best of luck on you show. Sounds like you might need another tree, though!
