Update! Plow Day Cancelled!

I'm currently working with Belvedere Plantation's very enthusiastic event manager on the details and will hopefully have a brochure out soon.

We're working out the details, but are thinking of a tractor parade at the end of the day, an exhibition area for the tractors too nice to plow with, and a swap meet. If I can get a few local businesses on board, maybe a few prizes.

Belvedere is a cool place to have a plow day as there are tons of activities for the kiddies (this year's corn maze is a very patriotic American Flag pattern), gift shops, and good food for everyone.

There is a campground not too far away, and plenty of hotels back in Fredericksburg.

Please PM me or email me as soon as you know for sure you can come, so I can get a good idea of how much acreage we should request. I'm requesting 40 initially, and figure that would keep 30 or so plowers busy for a day.

I hope you have a great turnout for the plow day. Sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I would love to make it down but don't know if we could squeeze another trip in with all we have planned already.

I'm still planning on being there but the date change to Sunday will make it tough. Probably won't be able to stay very late as it's a work night and I'll have a long drive home. Plus that wonderful Sunday I95 and beltway traffic. :(

Hey guys, I sent an update email out to everyone I had an email address for.

Plowing will actually start at 11:00 and be over at 3:00. Gates will still be open at 09:00.

Now obviously, we've had just a little bit of rain this week, so I'll take the 318 and plow out with me Friday when I go to test the ground.

For swap meet stuff, a lot of the guys were just going to sell off their trailers, since the plowers are going to be your better customers.

We will have an exhibit area for the show machines.

I'll post more Friday when we know more.

Friends, due to the recent weather, we have had to cancel Plow Day. The fields simply won't be able to be plowed. Please stay tuned as we are already thinking of 2013!

Thanks for all of your support!

I'm not sure of the "official" total Scott, but according to my kids' weather gauge, nearly 4 inches from Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon.

Wish I could make it! I have a dog hunt test on saturday that I am helping judge. Being 4 hours to fredericksburg is a little too far for a one day trip. Hope you have a good turn out! Maybe next year for me!

That is unfortunate, especially so close to the actual date. I hope it turns out better for you next time around.

Well, considering what a lot of others are dealing with this week, I'll not complain (much).
