I bought this high grass mower on craigslist last week. I paid the asking price of 33.00. I was told it didn't run. After cleaning the carb she started on the second pull. For 10.00 more dollars the guy throw in two weedeaters and a new 5 gal gas can. Next day both weedeater were running, One is a like new craftmen 25cc convertable.
I already used the mower in two ft high dead grass and it worked great. I have no idea what brand it is. There are no markings on it, amd it may of been red before. The blade attaches using a rectangular slot, and I haven't been able to find a similar one. I am going to put a larger engine on it and I would like to convert it to swing blades.0605120922.jpg

First, welcome to GTtalk! I have no idea what it is. It sounds like you came out ahead on that deal! Congratulations, I hope somebody knows what it is.

Well thanks for checking it out anyway. I really like this little work horse. It's really heavy duty. The front is open allowing it to really eat up the weeds. I used it on an weed abatement job and mowed down a few little cedar trees with it no problem.
I recently bought a DR Brush string cutter for 50.00 on criags list with a blown motor. I bought a 190cc Predator engine from harbor freight for 109.00, had to buy a pulley also, and now I have a nice walk behind string cutter. It uses .155in line and man does it ever eat up the brush.
Both projects have been fun to work on and fun to use.

I think that is an old discontinued Yazoo. The handle looks to be built a lot like the one in this listing.
